Vacancy at the United Nations University – Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), Hamilton, Canada
UNU-INWEH is seeking a team member whose primary responsibilities concern formulating, developing and implementing new initiatives and proposals to further enhance the effectiveness and impact UNU-INWEH’s activities. You will focus on applied science, knowledge management and capacity building in developing countries. Inter-acting with partners, such as UN and international agencies and/or organizations dealing with various aspects of ongoing projects in the Freshwater Programme will be a key task. You will be expected to provide support across all UNU-INWEH programmes in successful completion of tasks related to implementation of projects and facilitate information management. You hold a minimum of Master’s degree in water-related area in Science, Environmental Sciences, International Studies, or Environmental Engineering, and at least 4 years of relevant working experience with international project management responsibilities and financial management. Experience with databases, word processing and spreadsheet programmes and fluency in English are essential. Salary is in the range of C$50,000 to C$60,000; salaries of staff members are exempt from Canadian income tax.
