2nd edition of the International Symposium on Environmental Law in Africa, Marrakech, 25-27 July, 2016

IUCN’ West and Central Africa Programme (PACO) and the Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (IFDD) of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), in collaboration with the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, will organize the 2nd edition of the International Symposium on Environmental Law in Africa on 25-27 July, 2016, at Marrakech, Morocco. The theme of this 2nd edition is: “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: What Challenges and Opportunities for Africa?” This theme is articulated into two sub-themes:

  • Sub-Theme 1: Africa in the Post-2015 Climate Governance
  • Sub-Theme 2: Implementation of the SDGs: What Innovative Mechanisms?

The Kingdom of Morocco, which will also host this year the Climate Convention COP-22, will speak on behalf the Symposium participants and convey their main conclusions to COP-22.
