AIDA (hereinafter the "Controller") is an international non-governmental and not-for-profit association that pursues the evolution, study, knowledge, understanding and implementation of water law. It is a registered association under art. 36 of the Italian Civil Code and has an indefinite duration. It is based in Rome, Italy, in via E. With this Privacy Notice, the Controller intends to illustrate how and why your data are collected, how they are used, and how they are securely kept. The processing of your personal data is carried out in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (the "GDPR").
The Controller hereby informs you that your Personal Data will be processed in compliance with the Privacy Laws in effect and under an obligation of confidentiality, for the following purposes that are strictly related to your status of AIDA member:
The Controller informs you that your non-sensitive data will be processed, pursuant to the Privacy Laws in effect and in line with art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, also without your explicit consent, for the purposes referred to in Article 1 of this Privacy Notice.
The Controller only handles non-sensitive personal data such as, but not limited to: name; surname; residential address and other personal identification data; e-mail address; tax identification number; educational records; professional qualifications and certificates; images; employment information; banking details; etc.
No cookies are used on the AIDA website, with the exception of technical ones.
The data processing may be carried out with or without the aid of electronic devices, however such devices will be in compliance with the confidentiality and safety requirements in effect.
Without prejudice to communications made in fulfilment of legal obligations, your Personal Data may be made accessible to:
Personal Data will be stored for a period not exceeding ten (10) years or longer, if permitted by law.
At the end of the storage period, the Personal Data will be deleted, unless the Controller has a legitimate interest in their conservation, and/or their conservation is required by law.
The interested party has the right to access his/her personal data at any time, and to have them rectified or, as the case may be, complemented with additional data.
The interested party has the right to have his/her processed data cancelled, or converted into an anonymous form (so-called "right to be forgotten"), on any of the grounds provided for by art. 17(1) of the GDPR.

The processing of Personal Data is optional, but essential for the proper execution of your contract of association with AIDA.
A refusal to provide Personal Data, in whole or in part, would inhibit the proper execution of your contract of association with AIDA, and/or prevent the Controller from complying with the law.
