ABOUT US

The International Association for Water Law, usually referred to as AIDA from its Spanish acronym, was created in Washington, D.C., the USA, on 30 May 1967 during the Water for Peace Conference when the need for an NGO to provide a forum for questions concerning water law became evident. The purpose of the Association is to foster the evolution, study, understanding and application of water law, national and international, with a view to raising awareness, and the knowledge and practice, of this field of the law of natural resources.
