AIDA Water Law Excellence Awards

About the Awards

The International Association for Water Law (AIDA) is pleased to launch the Call for Nominations for the AIDA Water Law Excellence Awards, to be presented during the AIDA World Water Law Congress in Oslo, Norway, 24–26 June 2026. The awards will be presented to professionals working in the water law, regulations, and governance space at the local, national, international, or transnational level.

The Awards recognize outstanding contributions to the development, interpretation, and implementation of water law—including local, national, international, or transnational—aligned with AIDA’s mission to advance legal frameworks that support equitable, sustainable, and effective water governance. They are intended to promote excellence, innovation, and ethical leadership in the field of water law, and highlight individuals whose work has had a significant impact on the theory and practice of water governance worldwide.

Two awards will be presented: AIDA Global Water Law Excellence Award and AIDA Early Career Water Law Excellence Award. Both are open to anyone in academia, private practice, civil service, or other profession who satisfies the specific criteria provided for each award category.
